We love food delivery services. The trouble is that you can only get food from local restaurants, until today. Virgin Australia is now delivering to your door from any restaurant in the country. Well, not really. April Fools!
Engaged by Alt/shift/, we produced a fast-paced ad with high-end visuals to appeal to a premium customer. The peppy voice-over encourages users to order famous dishes from restaurants interstate, which would be delivered to the door with the professional and friendly service Australians have come to expect from Virgin. If only it were true.
This brilliant prank tripled Virgin Australia’s average engagement and reach metrics, with an owned social media reach of 1.2M+. Editorial coverage of the campaign spread reach even further, with an impressive audience of over 50 million people via 80+ media hits across leading online, social media, television and radio outlets.
